Welcome at the Chair of Theoretical Solid State Physics

The Chair of Theoretical Solid State Physics is engaged in the teaching and research of modern problems of quantum many-particle theory and their application in condensed matter physics. We are particularly interested in the the study of

  • Strongly correlated low-dimensional electron systems with various many-body ground states such as unconventional superconductors
  • Systems with non-trivial topology of the band structure
  • Topological defects such as magnetic domain walls, magnetic skyrmions and superconducting vortices
  • Non-equilibrium phenomena
  • Novel states of matter arising at interfaces of strongly correlated and magnetic systems
